This historic hotel is located the heart of Florence, close to the Duomo “Cathedral” and directly opposite the Accademia Gallery, which houses the original of Michelangelo's David .

Its location allows you to combine relaxation with a cultural experience: a dip into Renaissance Florence. The building’s façade is in classical Renaissance style, whilst the interior, although subject to various renovations over time, continues to maintain its original period style.

All original fittings, floors and banisters have been restored, and all restoration work has been carried out with full respect for the past. The architecture, furnishings and general décor of the Palazzo Alfani combine a flavour of the past with the most modern technology.

By Air:
Amerigo Vespucci Airport is 5 km away and can be reached: by taxi in about 15 minutes; by shuttle to S.M. Novella train station and then a 10-minute taxi ride; or it is also possible to request a private transfer at the moment of the reservation.

By Train:
Santa Maria Novella central train station can be reached: in less than 10 minutes away by taxi; by bus line 1, 7, 10, 17, 25, or 33, in the direction of Piazza San Marco (this is the stop you need to get off at); it is also possible to request a private transfer at the moment of the reservation

By Car:
From Rome:
- Exit the motorway at Firenze Sud.
- Follow directions to Piazza della Libertà, entering towards the centre, taking the Via Cavour (this is restricted area and if stopped by the police indicate that you are going to the Residence Palazzo Alfani ).
- On arrival at Piazza San Marco, turn left at the traffic light and veer left along the square.
- Take a right turn into Via Ricasoli.
- The Palazzo Alfani is no.49 and is directly opposite the Accademia Gallery.

From Milan:
- Exit the motorway at Firenze Nord.
- Drive towards Fortezza da Basso.
- Follow directions to the Piazza della Libertà, then, as above.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
One child under 3 years stays free of charge in a baby cot.
One child under 3 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding.
One child from 4 to 12 years is charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person in an extra bed.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.

Internet: Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms only and is free of charge.
