The building was build in the 14th century, before was a convent and later became a property of the family Strozzi, afterward it was bought from the France poet Alphonse De Lamartine. Since 1950 become a hotel, with 27 en suite rooms, with halls painted in fresco. The hotel is situated a few minutes away from the main museums of Florence.

The hotel offers twin, double, triple and single accommodation. All rooms are en suite with TV, air conditioning, direct dial telephone, hair dryer and minibar. The hotel does have a lift and 2 of its bedrooms are fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Food and beverages

Breakfast is available from 07:30h to 09:30h in the breakfast room, the focal point of which is the monastery’s original stone fireplace.

By Air:
The hotel is 15 minutes by taxi from Florence’s main airport or you can use the Vola In Bus shuttle service which takes only 20 minutes from the airport to the Santa Maria Novella train station. Tickets are available on board the bus for EUR 4.50. The hotel is on Via Bernardo Cennini, this is separated from the Piazza Della Stazione by the Piazza Adua.
