Situated in the breathtakingly beautiful Lucca countryside, which is just 5 km away or a short bike ride along the Serchio river, our hotel is infused with rural tradition.

The peaceful surrounding environment full of fruit trees, vineyards and olive groves is ideal for keen cyclists, walkers and lovers of nature. There is even a unique cycling path along the ancient walls of Lucca.

Our hotel is ideal for active tourists; we are located not far from the coast and the mountains. There are extensive sports facilities in the near vicinity including a riding stables, tennis club, golf club, Olympic-size swimming pool and football pitch.

We provide meeting and banquet facilities in a refined setting, with simple yet elegant furnishings. The restaurant next door offers traditional home-made Tuscan cuisine and the chef teaches cooking classes. In the warm season it is possible to dine on the terrace by candlelight.

The blue room is 70 m² and can host 50 people.
The green room is 120 m² and can host up to 80 or 90 people. It can be arranged according to your requirements.

We also offer lunches, buffet and coffee breaks for meetings.

We supply an internet service for a fee from 09:00 until 23:00, wireless LAN and bike rental.

Room information

Extra beds can only be added in the double superior and triple rooms.

Food and beverages

The restaurant Cantina di Carignano is an old horse-lodge, where the coaches stopped after a long journey on the dusty roads around Lucca. Today, after four generations in the restaurant business, the old inn-keepers continue cooking the traditional dishes still lovingly prepared by the eighty year old Mrs Maria.
The restaurant is closed on Thursdays.

In the summer or when the weather is warm, dinner is served on our attractive veranda.

Possibility of half and full board on request.

Area information

Our hotel is located in an ideal spot not far from the mountains, the coast of Viareggio, 18 km and the exclusive beaches of Forte dei Marmi, 25 km.
Set in the breathtakingly beautiful hills of Lucca steeped in rural tradition, with its celebrated wines and famous historic villas. Fruit trees, vineyards and olive groves give the countryside of Lucca a taste of old-fashioned unspoilt beauty.

From here trips can be arranged to suit those interested in sports, nature, and the arts. It is only 50 metres to the paths which can take you into downtown medieval Lucca either on foot or by bicycle. Lucca has a unique 4.5 km cycling path on its walls, which will enable you to admire its historical centre from a privileged position.

The following sports can be practised near our hotel:

Cycling: there is mountain biking along the river.
Football: a full-size grass football field is only 100 metres away.
Horse riding: there is a horse club on the river bank.
Canoeing: on the River Serchio.
Tennis: there is a tennis club 3 km away in Vicopelago.
Swimming: there is an Olympic summer swimming pool within 2 km.
Golf: there are four golf clubs in our area: Tirrenia, Cosmopolitan, Versilia and Montecatini.

Tourists information

From Pisa airport:
- Following the directions toward Viareggio take the road SS1 “Via Aurelia” as far as the entrance of the motorway A11 “Pisa Nord” toward Firenze.
- Leave the motorway at the exit “Lucca Ovest” and follow the directions to city centre (centro) turning left and passing under the motorway bridge.
- Go straight on past three set of traffic lights, at the third traffic light turn left following directions to Viareggio on the road SS439 “Via Sarzanese”.
- Drive on for about 2.5 km passing over the bridge Ponte San Pietro, go straight down for 200 mt. and turn right when you find a Gas station “ERG” and the directions for Carignano- Sant’Alessio and Hotel Carignano.
- Carry on for 1.5 km on the main road and you will see the hotel on your left.

From Florence (about 70 km. )
- Take the motorway A11 "Firenze-Pisa Nord” toward Pisa
- Leave the motorway at the exit “Lucca Ovest”; follow the instructions as above.

From motorway A12 “Genova- Livorno”
- Exit “Lucca Ovest” and follow the instructions as above.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in public areas only and charges are applicable.
