Restored from a 14th century Carmelite monastery but with large modern rooms, this hotel of exquisite character is just a few hundred metres from Siena Cathedral and the Piazza del Campo.

Set yourself up for the day with our varied buffet breakfast. In just 5 minutes you will reach the main square. After a busy day’s sightseeing you can return to the calm and quiet of the hotel. Relax in the peaceful courtyard, or retreat to the comfort of your room. Some rooms enjoy spectacular views over the rooftops to the valley beyond.

The choir room is now a congress and meeting hall, with a capacity of up to 80 people. Concerts and open air events take place in the monastery cloisters.

Hotel information

The monastery flourished even before Dante's time and stands in Via della Diana. The restoration has been specifically designed and carried out to the highest standards, to meet the requirements of international high level university and business conferences. The excellent functionality of space and services is much remarked upon and appreciated.

The hotel has 18 rooms of different categories. Please be aware that air conditioning is not functional all year round.

Food and beverages

The buffet breakfast is served in the ancient cellar called Tinaia dei Frati. Choose from home-made cakes, fresh orange juice and hot croissants, all served with cappuccino, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Area information

Next to the monastery is the San Niccolò Church, dating back to the 13th century. Hanging here are important frescoes and paintings from Beccafumi and Manetti.

The hotel can arrange walking and bike tours around Siena as well as tours to the wine cellars of Chianti.

The nearest station is Siena FS station.

By Car:
From the south:
-Take the A1 motorway.
-Exit at Valdichiana in the direction of Siena.
-Follow directions given below.

From the north:
-Take the A1 motorway.
-Exit at Firenze Certosa (from both toll gates the city is connected by a dual carriageway).
-Follow directions given below.

-Once in Siena take the link to Porta San Marco.
-Go through this gate and turn left.
-Go straight until the traffic lights and continue straight ahead utnil you see the large hotel building on your right. -After passing by this building, turn right into Via Ettore Bastianini.
-After passing by the gate ZTL continue for another 200 metres. Then on your left side you will find our parking place; it will be closed by an electric red and white bar. It will be necessary to call the hotel to open it.
-You can also ride till the end of the street, then turn left (Via Bastianini n° 4) and walk to the hotel building in order to inform the staff about your arrival; they will be glad to open the car park for you.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 40.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.
