Casa Howard is not a hotel. Each Casa is a beautiful private house, whether an apartment, palazzo or farmhouse, which offers personal service with some typical hotel services.

Staying here is similar to staying in a friend’s private house. As guests, you get the keys to the house, you enjoy the original furniture and amenities, and you can feel the atmosphere of the bursting hearth of the town.

Casa Howard (Florence) is a registered property (Residenza d'Epoca), located just 120 metres from the Santa Maria Novella Railway Station and 80 metres from Piazza S. M. Novella.

The hotel has retained all of the original flooring and ceilings, and most works of art and amenities belong to the owner's family in order to fully demonstrate the Casa Howard concept: Very high standard houses aimed to host special people.

"Clients known by the the owners or introduced by previous guests have a priority booking channel. Word of mouth is the way we do it". This is why (if you book a room at Casa Howard through an agency) we ask you to recommend Casa Howard to your friends.
Friends of friends are people we can trust and this is why we give you a key and access to our personal belongings and refreshments, just help yourself in the fridges. There is a form where you can write down what you have taken and pay us on your departure. D.O.C wines (red and white) are also available from Siena (Tuscany).

House Keepers (or House-Genies)
Meet Cristy, the head house keeper, or Edgar, the house keeper of Via Sistina, and Bernie and Rohan or Alou the house keepers of the Florence Guesthouse. They have been trained in-house and will bring you breakfast & fresh flowers when available, arrange dinner reservations, car hire, masseurs, personal shopping guides, babysitting, laundry, dry-cleaning and anything else you can think of...
As guests, you get the keys of the house (just in case you come in late).

Many rooms have working fireplaces, some have private terraces and it is possible to combine rooms to have a complete private suite.

One room is for smokers, another for guests with small dogs, and there is even one for people travelling with young children (sound-proofed and with a Walt Disney video-library) that has a special wall for them to play free-climbing.

Expect intimate and luxurious Florentine accommodation, a fantastic location by the Santa Maria Novella Basilica, unusually designed rooms and professional private service.

When available, the staff will place fresh flowers in each room. They come from the hotel's garden in Frascati, just outside Rome.

In the summer, mint soaps will be placed in the rooms, whilst, in the winter, pomegranate soaps will be provided. The hotel is the only guesthouse that the Officina Profumo di Santa Maria Novella in Florence provides liquid soaps to. Pomis stones from Filicudi (Aeolian Islands - Sicily) can also be found in your bathroom.

Suites with up to 3 bedrooms are available on request. For stays of longer than 5 days, the owner's apartment is available on request.

Śniadanie składa się ze świeżo wyciskanego soku pomarańczowego, domowej produkcji dżemu i miodu (z naszego własnego gospodarstwa) oraz świeżego ciasta i rogalików francuskich. Śniadanie serwowane jest na porcelanie Ginori, a herbata - w indyjskich szklankach.
Śniadanie w pensjonacie Florence kosztuje 15 EUR za osobę.
Jeśli zdecydują się Państwo na śniadanie w kawiarni, będą mieli Państwo z czego wybierać.

When you get to Florence, take The " Viali " and get in the restricted area from the “Stazione di Santa Maria Novella” (follow the signs). You will pass the station on your left and following the traffic flow you’ll get to the lights of via della Scala. Turn left. We are at Via della Scala, 18, left side; in front of us there is a bar called Sandra e Claudio.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for cots.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is included.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast is not included and costs EUR 15.00 per person.

Parking: Private parking is possible on streets nearby (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 25.00 per day.

Pets: Pets are allowed on request. No extra charges.
