Located only few steps from the Duomo cathedral, the hotel is placed at the core of Milan, within easy walking distance of the fashionable Via Montenapoleone, the shopping districts and La Scala Opera house.

An inspired fusion of Italian fashion, original design and elegance, the hotel combines minimalist design and classic Italian architecture for a truly unique stay.

The architect Vincenzo De Cotiis, a fashion designer of haute collections, has used an eclectic mix of materials, including scratched mirrors, burnished brass, iron, black stone and cement to create the distinctive interior of the hotel.

Hotel Straf is housed in the famous Giachi-Amman building (1883). The exterior retains its original appearance, but the hotel interior was renovated in 2003 in a completely different style: modern and minimal, a mix of art and materials blended to create a unique contemporary work of art.

For complete relaxation during your stay, the hotel offers a 24-hour gym in addition to Japanese massage chairs and aromatherapy treatments.

All rooms boast different pictures, paintings and installations created by the architect Vincenzo de Cotis.
Rooms are rendered entirely original by their categories and by the materials used: the rooms have cement or slate floor, and bathrooms in burnished brass or slate with white or black WC.

Several rooms have a massage chair and a corner to make chromo-therapy and aromatherapy. Other rooms have a corner with a massage shiatsu chair.

The suites have 2 balconies with views of the Duomo Cathedral, and the bath in the bathroom has a view of the balcony.

The hotel has an all day bar and restaurant service open from 08.00 - 24.00.

An American breakfast is served from 07:00 - 10:30.
Lunch in the bar is available from 12:30 - 22:30, whilst you can enjoy lunch in the lounge from 12:30 - 14:30 for approximately EUR 13 (excluding wine).
At Bar Straf, you can enjoy sandwiches at any point during the day.
Happy hour in the bar is from 18:00 - 21:00 every day.

Room service is available at an additional cost of EUR 5 (2007).

By Plane:
From Linate Airport:
- Catch bus Number 73 to the centre and get off at San Babila stop. The Hotel is 150 metres from the stop.
- Alternatively, take a taxi for approximately EUR 25.

From Malpensa Airport:
- Catch the Malpensa Express Train to Cadorna Station and the MM2 Green Metro to Duomo.
- Once at Cadorna Station it is also possible to catch a taxi (the approximate cost is EUR 15).

By Train:
From Central Station take the MM3 Yellow Metro to the Duomo.
The Metro stop Duomo is just 50 metres from the hotel.

By Car:
- The hotel is in the centre of Milan.
- If you come from the southern motorways, take the Tangenziale Est or Tangenziale Ovest ( it depends if you come from the south east or from south ovest motorways) and exit at Centre in both cases.
The same is valid for motorways that come from the north.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 66.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
