This unique hotel, situated in the historic centre of Ortigia, just a few paces from Piazza Duomo, is a superb starting-point for a walk around the breathtaking Island.

The Palazzo Del Sale, meaning ‘house of salt’, is so-called because it used to be inhabited by the salt-seller Bartolo who provided the Island with paraffin for their lamps and open bags of salt. The high ceilings and walls of stone which are embedded with inserted details in a unique and pleasant style, give an original feel to the place.

After re-charging your energy in the large, tastefully-decorated hotel living-room, why not circle "Palazzo del Sale", where you can find all the most interesting sights, including; The Fountain of Aretusa, Castle Maniace, the awe-inspiring Piazza Duomo and all the most important churches of the city? You could finish your day with a sunny walk along the Lungomare promenade, which circles the whole island.

Each of the 6 rooms is spacious and unique. The bathrooms are comfortable and are made with strikingly original local materials, such as lava stone and terracotta, taking on strong characteristics from the Sicilian landscape.

All rooms include satellite TV, air conditioning, internet access and a minibar. Several of the rooms also have a terrace.

By Plane:
From Catania Fontanarossa airport (60 km).

Take a bus from the terminal, which stops 5 minutes from the hotel. The bus company Interbus has a regular service from Siracusa to Catania Airport every hour.

If cancelled later, the first two nights will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
