Located in an age-old aristocratic house of neo-gothic design, Locanda Formosa is situated on a canal which verges on the lively Santa Maria Formosa, one of the most characteristic places in Venice. It is also just a short stroll from St. Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge.

The hotel organizes itineraries and excursions on a private boat: an exceptional occasion for an out-of-the-ordinary look at the city and lagoon.

There are numerous restaurants offering special rates to guests, where you can taste the best typical cuisine for a reduced price.

The buffet breakfast is served in an intimate room overlooking the canal. You can find: bread, brioches, cheese, ham or salami, cookies, cereals, yoghurt, orange juice, butter, a variety of preserves and spreads, as well as Italian coffee (espresso), American coffee, cappuccino, chocolate, milk and a choice of 3 different teas.

Campo Santa Maria Formosa, miejsce, w którym znajduje się nasz hotel, jest jedną z najbardziej tętniących życiem i charakterystyczną dzielnicą miasta. Renesansowy kościół Santa Maria Formosa z barokową dzwonnicą wziął swoją nazwę od Maryi Dziewicy, zwanej "formosa" - czyli zgrabna, piękna.
W tej samej okolicy znajduje się prestiżowa Fundacja Querini Stampalia, w której znajduje się wspaniale zaopatrzona biblioteka publiczna oraz duża galeria z 300 obrazami takich artystów z Veneto jak G. Bella, Palma il Giovane, Palma il Vecchio, G. Bellini i P. Longhi.

By plane
From Venice "Marco Polo" airport, there are several options to reach Locanda Formosa:
- with a private water taxi get off at the stop in front of the hotel;
- with the "Alilaguna" speed boat get off at San Zaccaria (the trip should last about 1 and 15 minutes, cost 10 €). From Riva degli Schiavoni go towards Calle delle Rasse, beside Hotel Danieli. Walk along this street until you reach Campo di San Filippo e Giacomo. Once you arrive here turn right for Calle Drio la Chiesa and after the bridge, Calle dei Mercanti. Turn left for Calle Corte Rotta and Ruga Giuffa, until you reach Campo Santa Maria Formosa. Go around the church and when you arrive to the canal (Canale dei Preti) follow the "fondamenta" on your right to number 5841 where Locanda Formosa is situated.
- the "Venezia Air Terminal" bus (cost 3 €) will bring you to Piazzale Roma in 20 minutes. From here you can take vaporetto no. 82 (Canal Grande ticket, cost 5 €)and get off at the Rialto stop. From here, take Calle Larga Mazzini and then turn left for Campo San Bartolomeo; take Sotoportego della Bissa and then Salizzada San Lio after the bridge. Take the third "calle" on the left (Calle del Paradiso), follow the directions for Campo San Giovanni e Paolo/Ospedale Civile. Walk the entire "calle" , passing the bridge and then another bridge on the right. Locanda Formoso is immediately to the left at no. 5841.

By car
Arriving by car, you can park in Piazzale Roma, in Garage San Marco which offers a special rate for our hotel. You can then reach Locanda Formosa in two ways:
- with a private water taxi which brings you in front of the hotel;
- with vaporetto no. 82 (Canal Grande ticket, cost 5 €), get off at the Rialto stop. From here, take Calle Larga Mazzini and then turn left for Campo San Bartolomeo; take Sotoportego della Bissa and then Salizzada San Lio after the bridge. Take the third "calle" on the left (Calle del Paradiso), follow the directions for Campo San Giovanni e Paolo/Ospedale Civile. By train

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.
